Work Integrated Learning Wage Subsidy Top-up

Until October 31, 2022 all WIL Digital employers registered and operating in BC may be eligible to receive an additional 25% wage subsidy, up to a maximum of $2,500 through the Innovator Skills Initiative top-up for each student hired. Employers will not need to submit a separate application for the additional top up.

Through this partnership, the combined wage subsidies offered to approved WIL Digital employers registered and operating in BC will be equal to the WIL wage subsidy + the Innovator Skills Initiative top-up. For example:

WIL Digital wage subsidy (@75%) up to a maximum of $7,000 + Innovator Skills Initiative top-up (@25%) up to a maximum of $2,500 = 95% wage subsidy to a maximum of $9,500.

OR

WIL Digital wage subsidy (@75%) up to a maximum of $5,000+ Innovator Skills Initiative top-up (@25%) up to a maximum of $2,500 = 75% wage subsidy to a maximum of $7,500
